Bluepoint Technologies have recently completed the first Brand-Rex Microblo fibre installation by a UK installer on a project to refresh a SAN at a well known financial institution in Hampshire.

The project included 3000 links, using 96way MicroBlo cable, Brand-Rex high density fibre patch panels, LC terminations and custom, customer specified length patchcords. This project demonstrated the skill and expertise of Bluepoint as the project was completed within a 3 week schedule.

During the return trip from Smolensk following completion of the recent installation, Paul Wheeler, Managing Director of Bluepoint Technologies found that he had several unexpected expenses, when he had to ‘buy back’ his own suitcases. Several transactions, numerous translations from an interpretor and $400 lighter in the wallet department, the suitcases found their way onto the plane bound for the safety of blighty!

We recently completed a project for a client in Smolensk, which comprised 550 Cat6 data outlets and fibre backbone over 9 floors of the building seen here. Bluepoint handled the complete IT infrastructure project including the arrangement of export and import documentation and the shipping of product from the UK to site. The project was completed within the 2 week schedule required by the client.

Travel to site was interesting to say the least! To get to site took 22hrs, including a 7 hr trip by train across Russia! Luckily for the installation team there were lots of stops along the way so that the bar could be re-stocked!!
