Bluepoint Technologies is celebrating its thirteenth birthday on July 15th 2021. That’s right, we’re teenagers today! And we’ve decided to mark the occasion by supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Having been established in 2008, we’re incredibly proud to have grown into a truly global provider of data infrastructure services, delivering projects ranging from consultancy to design and installation for customers in 65 countries in the last 13 years. However, for our 13th birthday celebrations, we are looking closer to home.
Supporting Teenagers with Cancer
Every day, seven young people in the UK are told they have cancer, and the Teenage Cancer Trust is the country’s only charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support to ensure that no young person has to face cancer alone.
COVID-19 has made an extremely tough situation the has even tougher, as many of those suffering have been forced to suffer alone – leading to an even more detrimental effect on their mental health. This is why the Teenage Cancer Trust has launched their #NotOK campaign, which is calling on the UK Government to ensure that young people with cancer always have access to specialist psychological support, regardless of where they live. To help make this happen, the charity is asking supporters to join the campaign by emailing their MP, MS, MLA or MSP.

Therefore, Bluepoint have chosen to support such an amazing charity as part of the company’s 13th birthday celebrations, as our Managing Director Kathryn Aves explains: “We were searching for the perfect way to mark Bluepoint becoming a teenager, and nothing could seem more fitting than reaching out to support the Teenage Cancer Trust and help to enable them to continue their vital work in supporting young people when they most need it.
“Our teenage years can be difficult time for a multitude of reasons, and in preparation for our birthday celebrations, the Bluepoint team has been looking back and sharing photos from our teenage years to reflect on our personal journeys to becoming the people we are today.”
